On September 17, 2018, supported by China Southern Power Grid Major Scientific Research Project ”Development and application of large-capacity short-circuit current breaking device”, the large-capacity short-circuit current breaking device for 220kV system developed by Academician Pan Yuan team successfully passed the 100kA class short-circuit current breaking test in Xi'an National High-voltage Electrical Appliance Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, which made the breaking capacity of high-voltage circuit breaker for 220kV system reach the highest level in the world.
